If you missed it late last night (and no one will blame if you did), we caught up with a few of Mississippi State’s players and coaches outside the locker room after the Bulldogs’ 30-24 win over Troy.
Defensive coordinator Chris Wilson, who’s unit gave up 572 yards of offense to the Trojans, had some interesting comments.
His first words: “That was bad, guys.”
Hard to argue, though Wilson made some good points about the state of the team.
Senior corner Darius Slay (two interceptions) and senior receiver Chad Bumphis (180 yards and three touchdowns) both had career outings and were correspondingly happy, though both recognized MSU did not play its best.
Bumphis was naturally excited about his big night, but he was none to happy with all of the drops by the pass-catchers.
“Wide receivers, we did everything we could to lose it.”
Now, to hear from all three.
